Takaba is a freelance photojournalist and is always looking for the next big scoop. He sometimes gets tips from the newspaper he sells his work to and also has connections with some guys in law enforcement. It’s while working to get the next “scoop” that Takaba comes into contact with Asami. Asami found out that Takaba had taken photos that painted him in a bad light and, finding himself intrigued by this person and wanting to stop them from doing such a thing, he decided to lay a trap for Takaba. Poor Takaba, unable to see that it’s a trap until it’s too late, gets captured by Asami, who then inflicts what can only be described as a bit of torture on the poor guy. After this encounter, Asami and Takaba seem to begin and maintain some kind of relationship with each other as a result of the various encounters they have with each other - as a result of running in the same circles and dealing with the underworld.

And as if that wasn’t complicated enough, there is also a love/criminal rival in the form of the Chinese mafia boss Liu Fei Long (who is so beautiful he looks better than most women), who once had his eye on Asami but now appears to want to take Takaba!Īsami is a powerful, straightforward, straight-laced type of man who has a dominating personality. Lol! This kind of personality suits his profession as the owner of clubs and being involved in the underworld as well as having friends in high-ranking places, including political officials. He has a cool approach to everything and is never one to show panic. He always appears in control and gets what he wants. It’s for this reason that he feels that he “owns” Takaba and has a real problem with people who touch his things. That, in itself, can be rather sexy and I suppose this is the way that men like him show care - it’s a definite case of having to read between the lines. He is by no means perfect and sometimes his controlling nature tends to go overboard but Asami has that “X” factor that draws people to him and I think people are attracted to his strength and power.

Takaba is a fiesty, go-getting, energetic, cheeky, cute-looking younger guy who has an open and honest personality. His youth makes him a bit more sensitive and emotional, which puts him in the role of the uke in this one.
